Description

Aotus ericoides, also known as common aotus or golden pea, is a shrub in the family Fabaceae. It flowers in leaf axils in spring and has yellow pea flowers with splotches of red. It is endemic to eastern Australia.

Irrigation: No watering required once established if planted in suitable conditions. Will require water over long dry periods.

Lower Temperatures: Temperatures as low as -5°C for short periods once established and survives as an under-story plant with larger plants to protect from frost.

Upper Temperatures: Temperatures in the Mid 30’s°C to Low 40’s°C. Can tolerate higher temperatures for short periods over the summer months.

Fertilising: No fertilizer.
